Instruction/Training

I play at Break Time Billiards in Clemmons, North Carolina. There are hotels nearby I suggest the Village Inn and Conference Center.

Since I've written books on Aiming, Banking, Using Side Spin & Cue Ball Control those sessions can be very fruitful on the training side. I don't mind searching for venues that are quiet during the day and or we go to several different locations during the training. That is one of the options and I can come to you if your venue and your setup is best for you. Write me and tell me what you want and where you are with your game and let me tailor a program for you. There are options I can tailor to you.

I charge a reasonable (daily fee) based on what I will be doing in a days' time. You get an author who's put in the time to understand and teach all this. I cater to you, teaching you the best of what I know, while we have fun and you'll feel it was worth every dime and may want to come back for more.

Your success matters to me and once we start I expect questions, texts, phone calls. I send things out by email that I want you to see to better explain points.

336-466-0683 I may have to get to where I can call you back.
I get email at: [email protected]

I have been writing in this area since 2007.

There are very few Instructors that can guide you from your fundamentals through the detailed parts of the aiming process because they've designed an aiming technique and none have my technique that I use when playing 700 plus Fargo players. I make it simple and you get to burn it with me coaching you on shots.

I focus on making sure you can make shots better and control the cue ball better when you leave me because of what I taught you. We work on the shots together and I make sure you understand all types of shots and what it takes to see them and understand them. I am a Coach who drives the student through the experience that I know will lead them to a higher level but I will make it fun and we might travel to several local rooms to get a different experience adjusting to the tables in different places with the same core material from aiming, position work and to the finesse end of cue ball control.

I think I'm the best value in Instruction when it comes to what you get from it.
I prefer to work with solo students or with people that bring a friend so I can focus more on you.

It all began with my first book Aim is the Game in Pool and today, it's The Target Ball Concept, The Flight of the Cue Ball (Side Spin), Control the Cue Ball and now it's the full course with fundamentals objectives included with a time matured course in Aiming Technique that I teach in detail.

I will do it during the week when other instructors don't. This allows me to work with those who are retired and have time for a weekday Pool Adventure and home on the weekend.

I will pick you up at the Airport and we will go from there and I will pick you up every day sometimes earlier if we are traveling to another room and we will have a smashing good time of it, while you experience the most of what I can help you with.
Be prepared to ride in the car, drill, work and receive great information while we work, eat good food and play games as part of the practical application for cue ball movement in the instruction.

See the Rooms we could go to below.

 Stance, Stroke, and Vision Center

I check your fundamentals as we go. If I see an issue, we work on it right then. A complete change in fundamentals comes over time but if you don't remove a bad practice at the beginning then you'll have to deal with it later on. We work with your best vision center to make sure you're getting the best view of the shot. I make sure you have a repeatable, pure stroke and cadence leading up to it to groove an exact cue ball delivery. I like shooting a video of you and discussing what needs work.

Shot Making-Aiming-What to look for

I understand how other aiming systems work but they are not as easy as what I teach to create a basis from which to get further growth into Side Spin & Cue Ball Control. My goal is to create an easy way to play by that is visual in nature, so you look at the shot and from angle you know what to do and I teach you how to make cue ball/ object ball contact point decisions on the shot at hand using easy to see landmarks.

Pre-Shot, Stroke & Cue Ball Movement

All of these areas are connected, and I show you how so. Before you leave, you'll understand how to connect your feel to the shot making process that happens after the pre-shot appraisal and shot stroke routine. The Cue Ball skills are also connected, and we go through those in drill and in game applications. Developing your feel for the game is one of the most important parts of your training.

Banking, Cue Ball Moving & Awareness

I use the disciplines/games of Pool in ways that the skills make sense to you so when you play you understand what you need to accomplish. If you want, we can do a One Pocket Clinic along with the rest of the program.
