This text is handtyped but is the identical review appearing in the September issue 2011 of Pool and Billiard Magazine.
Our Second Robin is Robin E. Kelly, thats kind of formal sounding but the author is a pool nut-and we mean that in the best way. His love of the game comes through on every page, and that makes the book furn to read. Of course you will be reading it for instructional information, and Kelly's topic is one that drives most players crazy: How do I aim? When people talk about the fundamentals, it doesnt get any more fundamental than this. We like his use of "standard reference points," his acknowledgement of feel, and his prep routine, among other things. The actual aiming systems is called (RAM) and there are variations, such as RAM 3 and RAM 10, but its pretty straight forward.( Kelly isnt old enough to get to the Rama Lama Ding Dong Method but thats all to the good.) It should also be noted that along with and aiming system that will have you thinking before you shoot the ball, you also get a few pool stories, some encouragement and some info on positioning yourself and visual perception. Well there is more to it than just my opinion, I hope this will make you want to make a really small investment in your game and let it become what I know it can be. I appreciate your business and want you to be satisfied so you send your friends.
